Madilynn Beck, Founder+CEO, combined variety, accessibilty and fair cost models to devise The Better Spot. The attractive GenX approach of fluid workspaces, with the cost-effective business model of shared workspaces is what makes TBS an ideal approach for the burgeoning wellcare professional, but targeting the needs of the young professionals and coining the term "cost-conscious" wasn't enough for Beck. She threw in today's cultural obsession of instant access and economical membership and you have The Better Spot.
Beck is the product of pioneers; two young Black kids amidst The Great Migration that happened upon each other on the Southside of Chicago. Her parents valued education and exposure and sacrificed virtually everything to ensure that they were integral in her upbringing. BFA / M.Ed. / MFT and early business owner, Beck discovered that she was enamored with the human condition, how it’s communicated and how it thrives. She began a dialogue with therapists and holistic clinicians nationwide, on the plusses and minuses of healing as a business and found a pattern of pain points. “Necessity is the mother of invention”. So, out of necessity, Madilynn Beck founded The Better Spot.
